Role Overview:

As a Software Developer at Oracle, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks. You’ll work as an individual contributor, applying your knowledge of software architecture to enhance existing systems and contribute to the development of new solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in improving the quality of Linux and virtualization products, focusing on running Oracle products on Linux and in the Cloud.
• Define, design, and develop tests and open-source kits, and debug and solve issues in the Linux/Oracle virtualization/Cloud stack.
• QA Oracle Linux, UEK, and Oracle virtualization releases for both Cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate with global teams to communicate effectively and achieve results.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in a software development environment.
• Knowledge of cloud solutions and tools, familiarity with virtualization solutions such as KVM, QEMU, and libvirt.
• In-depth understanding of Operating Systems concepts, Linux userspace rpms build, testing, and automation.
• Proficiency in Linux, including kernel basics, userspace packages/tools, system booting, and crash verification.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, GitLab CI/CD, container technologies, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Self-motivated with a quick learning style, ability to work independently, and deliver quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
